This, incidentally, was one of the most difficult hikes that I have undertaken.

It is a bushwack from about a mile past Flatrock Junction and a bushwhack in the
truest sense. Alders, scrub bushes, logs, gaaak! It was difficult! Came out by climbing
the saddle between the Upper Redfish Lakes and Alpine Lake and coming back via
the trail. It wasn't easy either!

Camped between the two no-name Upper Redfish lakes and could see both from the camp location.

Mountain behind Lake Kathryn

Lake Kathryn, possibly one of the most beautiful lakes in the Sawtooths. And quite inaccessible.

The reflections in this lake were breathtaking.
