Red Mountain Fire Path
In spite of the destruction that the Red Mountain fire caused, it seems
to have left most of the lakes in the Red Mtn/Cat Lakes completely
unscathed. As noted, I did not get to the lowest of the Cat lakes, and I
am guessing that the fire went through that one since the fire seems to have
spread out in that area. But the lion's share of this area is still pretty and fun
to visit. Enjoy!

The fire seems to have started here. This is the southwest end of the fire damage

It progressed from west to east in a slightly northerly path...

Further west it spread out a bit around lake 7924...

then progressed up the side of the ridge towards the mountain just to the north lake 7930...

From this point progressed up the flank of this mountain, turned directly north, spread out and consumed much of the Bear Valley.
