New Mexico is a veritable collage of interesting geography. It does not share the water resources that Idaho possesses, but it certainly has mountains in abundance. It is certainly is different hiking, however, as there are all kinds of prickly things to watch out for as well as cougar, javelina, Mexican wolves, bears and other toothy creatures.

Well, here's a bit of local color up the Mineral Creek road near Alma, NM. Buried in this hollowed-out rock are a couple of miners that were dispatched by the Apache indians around 1880. A more detailed explanation is available at:
