On the Way to Born Lakes -- August 9-19, 2008
We left the 4th of July TH around 1-2 PM onTuesday, the 9th of September. Our first leg was to an overnight at the Born Lakes.
One of the most discouraging aspects of this hike was to observe the extent to which the killer beetles have decimated
the forests in the WC. There were places where it appeared that 70-80% of the trees had been trashed.
