Iris Lake or Bust!
Well, it was 'Bust' again! The first time hiking partner bailed, this time the goats did the same. Granted, this particular lake is 2000 feet higher than where you
begin to hike up the drainage to get to it. And some of the toughest hiking that I have done. But it is disappointing to not make it for the second time.
However, I did get to hike a number of miles of the Middle Fork of the Salmon trail which was an experience. Unfortunately
pictures of the river are the only pictures I have. And they are not as good as they could be due to the Banner Ridge fire's
effect on the air quality
