Arrowhead Lake & Beyond
Arrowhead lake was on the way to the top of the ridge leading to the Queens River Basin, and then eventually on to the TH.

Arrowhead Lake

Beautiful lake, lots of fish. Many of which were babies.

And on up the 600 feet of altitude to the top of the ridge.

Out of the Arrowhead Basin

The flowers alone which were ablaze everywhere in the high country made the trip worthwhile

And the patriarch stands guard over the valley

From here you can see all the way back to Pats Lake in the distance

Coming off the Ridge, a few lakes on the way to the Queens River valley... and lower altitude.

Gotta get this cycle overwith... winter's a'comin!

1st of three lakes. A small one to be sure

And the biggest lake from the ridge as the trail completely circled this lake on its way down

Fascinated by this formation. Looked like an altar, or fancy headstone in this ethereal arena

The far end of the lake as the trail wound around it

This little guy startled the daylights out of me. He came in from behind at about Warp 6, three feet from my head, and whooshed by me like an incoming round. This shot was taken at 20x zoom. Came out pretty good considering I was having trouble holding the camera still at that extension.

This looks man-made. Never tire of the rock formations

Last lake before the descent into the valley

In the Valley, and on the way to the last night's campsite
Sadly, the lack of sun to 'color-up' the pictures makes them kinda drab.

This stream carved this depression out of the granite over time

All waterfalls are photogenic, eh?
