The Eagle Cap Wilderness! The Best of the Best!
Upper Glacier Lake

We decided to camp up here instead of at the ever-so-popular Glacier Lake just because Glacier Lake is ever-so-popular!

Also, as we motored into Glacier Lake, goats in tow, there was a first-class BH with a couple of mules that was in an unbridled snit that our goats just might upset his mules. I was hoping...

The breakfast nook!

A small lake above Upper Glacier had this little pothole lake with a world-class snowdrift right across the end.

The morning alpenglow. Never get tired of this one...

Also absolutely love the reflections in the lakes of the mountains behind.

The following scenes come from an abortive trip down to see the Frazier Lakes. Unfortunately, we neglected to take our river-wading shoes, and the W. fork of the Wallowa River was waaaaay too wild to attempt in bare feet, so... no see'um Frazier Lakes (3) on this trip. Dang!

Back to home port.

Looking down the W. Fork of the Wallowa River valley.
