Alpine, TX; Glenwood, NM; & Zion NP, UT!
The original reason for this trip was to take part in the installation of Damien Grout, Mary's Oldest Daughter's husband, as Rector of the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Alpine, TX.

After spending a few days with them, and visiting Big Bend National Park, we began our slow trek home. Glenwood, NM was next, church on Sunday, then on from there. We motored across Arizona, then into Utah where we spent a day touring Zion National Park. At one point, on US89 in Utah, we encountered one of the wildest afternoon storm systems I have seen in a very long time. Constant lightning, high winds with resultant dust storms, hard rain, etc. Since we were very near Palisades State Park in Utah, and the trailer was rocking and rolling with the wind, a nightly stopover seemed like a good plan. Next day to SLC, enduring one of my absolute least favorite drives, the Salt Lake megaplex, then home.
