On to Bernard Lake!
Had to RON on the trail about halfway in, and so next morning began to tiptoe through the tulips, and the blowdowns, to keep on keepin on...

The Point? There isn't one... I just thought it was a beautiful rock

Same here, ooops... but a flower instead!

Bernard Lake... at some point before the weather got crabby!

Neat fishies

The beginning of what was to be a fairly long and intense 'light show'.

Sentinels of the lake. Bernard Lake is not unique in this aspect, but the lake's driftwood frequently motors around the lake, seemingly under its own power. In the morning, the drift is spread all over the lake in a random array. After the thunderboomers, they were lined up along one side of the lake trying to distance themselves from the weather.

I liked this one. It seemed that this piece of drift was suspended in thin air!

What passes for a bridge in this country!

Hiking partner begins to navigate the 'bridge'.

Coffee Bean examining the top of just one more rock. They all must be scrutinized!

Dang! A rest break. I thought it would never come. Neither did glorious leader!

I'm Beat!!!

Cocoa Brownie is definitely not certain he wants to go wading at this point!

I distinctly think I heard him say something unpleasant!

Bonus picture! Dagger Falls was supposed to be having salmon leaping upstream. Falls were beautiful, but no sign of salmon!
