Elk in the Hills in the AM
After a long period of concern as we had not seen any real numbers of wildlife this winter, they finally showed up in 'numbers'.
I am not sure where they have been hiding, but there were 70-80 in this group and one has to assume that they have only
just come down from the hills where they spend much of the year.

Taken over the Chicken Coop

Taken from the back of the house. Eventually I moved to the front.

This one is right off the deck on the south side of the house

The hills are alive...!

This one lady finally noticed me sneaking up on the north side of the house.
She was
definitely concerned!

What fun! I thought they'd never get here!

This lady has had quite enough!

I'm outta dodge!!

Taken somewhat later as they were migrating up the side of the hill on the north side of
the house. This hill, incidentally, besides being very steep, is about
1800' higher than the house at its top.
