What was interesting about this area, is that the avalanche damage from the 2013-2014 heavy snowpack was so obvious



These formations were in the floor of the flat area. What caused them? No clue.



These pictures are showing the extent of the damage to the forest by avalanches. It was very great. However, the number of very old downed trees is an indication that this was not the first time for this eventuality.

Lake is pretty at this point in the day. Color varies thoughout the day as the sun changes position

This citizen had a litany of interesting body language. Not sure if there were a nest nearby or what. But she kept running around us and verbalizing

At this point, it would seem that she is saying, "Hey, I was here first, this is MY territory, now bug off!"
