Highway ID21, Winter 2013, Avalanche!

SUmmer 2011 brought about a very large fire in this area which denuded the sides of these hills. Which took away
anything that might restrict an avalanche. Winter 2013 brought tons of snow. The result is what you see here. The
highway was closed for a week or two, and the snow in the right-hand picture will probably not go away this summer.
This one was especially hard to clear due to the tons of dead trees that ended up in the slide.
