Day 4!
Time to begin the long trek out. Not only was it long but it got very warm early on, and the last few miles were brutal.

Elk Lake showed early in the trek from the RON campsite. Elk Lake is another lake in the end of its life, geologically speaking, having largely filled in with sediment, and therefore mostly quite shallow

Doesn't look like a camp spot, eh? But in the middle of the trail is where the sleeping bag ended up on this trip. My kingdom for a good campsite

There were a lot of waterfalls along the steep section of the trail

For a goat, anyplace along the trail is a smorgasboard

The beaver dam, or maybe just a detritus pile
