Ten Lake Basin

Day 1 - This day began about 1 mile past the trailhead (TH). Yellowbelly lake has, for a very long time, been a primo location for 'dispersed' camping.
No so anymore. The imperial wizards of the Forest Service ('Service', now there's a word that has gotten lost in the sands of time) has summarily blocked
off the road to the dispersed camping area, and once more removed hundreds of acres of camping area from the available, and once again forced people
to either look for another area to camp, minus Yellowbelly's fish, or follow the thundering hordes to places like Redfish that completely trash the entire
concept of 'camping'. Yeah, if you like camping as if you were in a Detroit tenement, up to your ass in low-end people, and if you like noise, loud children,
radios, etc., etc., then Redfish is the place
for you. Enjoy. On the other hand, you might be getting to the point that I did some years back, where I deduced
that if I wanted peace and the real camping experience, I was gonna have to do it with my home on my back. True, it is a lot of work, and sometimes profoudly
uncomfortable, but you will not meet the thundering hordes at 9000' and 20 degrees. Your choice.

Motoring on up towards Farley Lake

Farley, through the trees

Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of this camping spot on Farley, but it was a special little nook above the lake and just big enough for me and my hiking partners.
