Bernard Lake, June 26!

Plumb Tuckered Out!
(His head is in an upside down saddle :-))
And if you knew what he had been through in the last few hours, you'd know that he had plenty of reason to be 'tuckered out'!

None of the boys even had time for eating at this point

There must be something here to get into... just wait until they open their panniers... and their attention is distracted... ha! I'll find it!

The ice was rapidly melting out, accelerated by Monday and Tuesday night's rains

Finding a place to set up a tent was problematic. The snow was far from melted out. An interesting condition for this time of year.

In my many trips to Bernard, this is the only time I have seen it full, and the first time I have seen it draining, let alone to this degree. An interesting winter, it was, to be sure.

It even had to go under the snow to escape the lake!

Well, shoot, these guys are really crafty... but I know there's something to get into... I just gotta find it!

Still looking... I'll bet it's in one of these panniers...
