Day 2!
Another grand hike in Idaho!

Morning the second day. Troops are up, had breakfast and waiting for their favorite part... loading up. Now if you believe that...

This was an exceptionally beautiful, and eminently fishable section

A bit of a steeper gradient here, so more white

I found the clarity, with just a hit of green, awe inspiring

Trail meanders on. From this point on the trail was wet. It was obvious that the snow had only recently disappeared from here

Several small tributaries crossed in this section. Hiking partner tried to do a 'sitzmark' in one, but it disappeared too fast. :-) She, however was wet for quite a while.

Hiking partner in front of Paradise Cabin. Don't have the history here, but presumably a prospectors cabin from long ago.

Paradise Creek. This is as far as we got up the Rapid River drainage, 12 miles. Weather fears kept us from progressing further. Subsequent weather proved us wise.

I made a movie of this section, it was really impressive. However listening to the level of noise that it was making all night was not that great. We decided in retrospect that we should have overnighted at the cabin, which was a ways up from the creek.
