Day 3!
Another grand hike in Idaho!
Woods were loaded with Trillium, all shades from white, to white-purple mixed, to purple |
Came to the conclusion that it is no wonder that the Salmon River is large. When you consider the amount of water that the various tributaries are sending into it |
---|---|
After sitting down in this freezing water earlier in the hike, hiking partner, at my suggestion, put on her stream shoes for this crossing |
|
A Trillium of a different color |
You are probably now saying, OK! Enough already. We've seen all the river shots we can stand! |
When we got to this, our last campsite of this trip, we had done over 8 miles, and the goats were saying ENOUGH ALREADY!! (So were the hikers!) |
Later on, they settled on this rock promentory and were fix'en to spend the night. I had to say, "Au contraire, the night is to be spent on the highline". As soon as I brought down Senor Dominant, the rest fell in line. :-) |
