Mill Lake!
All the lakes we visited in this area lacked the lusture that is exhibited by the lakes in the Sawtooths, White Clouds and/or the Eagle
Cap in Oregon. One notable feature was that out of the five that we saw, only two had a fishery. I have been to precious few lakes
since I began hiking that didn't have some sort of fish population. Additionally, the forests in this area are among some of the worst
I have seen for dead, dying and downed trees. It is virtually impossible to penetrate on an off-trail basis because of the extreme
downfall. Certainly not an area that you feel compelled to return to because of the beauty.

Looking back on the way up the drainage. George the goat is lollygagging as usual!

Up near the lake. Note the threatening weather we experienced the entire week!

Classic. Two goats are eating, one is 'looken round', and Bogdan is telling hiking partner to hurry up!

The lake appears in the windshield... always a welcome sight.

The weather we were being dogged by is still threatening

Later in the evening, the clearing skies add a whole lot more color to the lake

A different perspective from on top of the end-of-the-lake lava cliff

Rock pinnacles always put the goats into a playful mood. All height is good!

The morning sun illuminates the lake with maximum color

Beginning the trek down to the Miner Lake trail, the next drainage over

The trail descends into the woods. Further down we attempted to off-trail
across the end of the ridge to get over to the Miner Lake trail. It was only
marginally successful, due to the extreme downfall.
