Dog Canyon
A very strenuous and taxing hike up Dog Canyon

A very large stretch of the desert south of Alamogordo, and the mountains in the far distance that sit to the east of Las Cruces

We haven't gone that far from the visitor center, but have already gained a significant amount of altitude
	This looked like it could have been a shelter for one of the primitive peoples of the area
We have reached our turnaround point, and this is looking on up the canyon	Looking back down towards Alamogordo
